Success Teams

A Success Team is a group of 4-7 people who work together helping each other discover their passions/dreams/goals. There are two ways to do a Success Team. One, you create your own group and follow Wishcraft.

The other way is joining Joyanna's "certified" team where she facilitates the groups for a weekend (Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday) or you meet twice a week for a month and then the team continues on their own with their new skills.

During the 8 sessions the team members learn the steps necessary to find out what they love to do, to get in touch with long forgotten dreams, or to forge ahead into a new field/dream. Teams follow Barbara Sher's Wishcraft book (you can also download the book free of charge at www.wishcraft.co. They learn how to do a new type of flowchart, brainstorm and are accountable to each other and support each other in their dreams and goals. Teams meet regularly and have "homework" and assignments.

The 7th session of the 8 weeks, or after the weekend success team, an Idea Party is held where members invite guests. Everyone brings refreshments and food for the party. During the Idea Party the team members tell each other about their dreams, what they've done about attaining that dream and where they are currently "stuck." Guests at the Party brainstorm collectively for the individual and offer ideas and solutions, often coming up with incredibly creative ways to get to the answer. The synchronicity and contacts made during these brainstorming sessions are phenomenal and often truly change lives. In turn guests can present their dreams/ideas/goals/obstacles and get feedback from the group as well.

As in days gone by when a person in a community wanted to build a barn, they had a barn raising where everyone in the community participated to help the barn get built. This is the basic premise of an Idea Party. Eveyone in the room contributes to the solution helping with ideas, suggestions and enthusiasm.

Idea Parties are held regularly in Vancouver and Toronto. They are inspiring, creative, fun opportunities to network, meet new people and schmooze. It's a change for you to get feedback on your idea, discuss your hobbies, plan a new career or to give life to an "old" dream that you never thought might be possible. Maybe you've always wanted to play an instrument, publish a book, swing on a trapeze...Whatever your question or situation, someone in the audience will have some useful information for you.

Recently a young woman who owns a dress shop in Toronto attended an Idea Party where she voiced her true desire to sing and wrte original songs and her question to the group was based on how she could put together a CD? The Idea Party was on June 30th and on October 3rd of that same year she handed Joyanna her CD telling her she was getting significant airplay in Montreal and Toronto. Her name is Daphne Nisanni and her dream was realized after she articulated her dream in front of an Idea Party group and got the support, encouragement and clarity she needed to go forward.
